How to Use MMR

To start using MMR, log into Manheim.com. If you don’t have an account yet, you’ll need to sign up first. Once logged in, how to navigate the tool:

1. Accessing MMR: Depending on your intent (buying or selling), you can select MMR from either the ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ drop-down menus on your dashboard. Here, you can value vehicles using their VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) or year, make, model, and style.

2. Adjusting the Valuation: Once you’ve found the correct vehicle, MMR lets you adjust mileage, region, auto-grade condition score, and exterior color. These adjustments refine the base MMR to provide a highly tailored valuation for that specific vehicle.

3. MMR Range Display and VIN-Specific Valuation: Perhaps MMR’s most innovative feature is its real-time adjustment. Select adjustments and instantly see how they affect the MMR value along with data visualizations that show vehicle market range standings.

4. Handling Sparse Data: When there are an insufficient number of recent transactions to calculate an accurate MMR, the Transactions list and “Projected Average” may not populate. However, you can still view recent transactions and access historical data and estimated retail pricing at the bottom of the page.

5. Saving and Exporting Data: You can print the results or export them as a CSV file for later review, ensuring that data is readily accessible for future reference.

Now you’re ready to start comparing your vehicle’s MMR value to the base MMR value for more confident pricing decisions!
